There are many etched, engraved and lithographed copies of the original oil painting portrait of Bonnie Prince Charlie by Louis Tocqué. All of them are slightly different, but they all have strong similarities when it comes to the pose, hairstyle, armour and flourish of ermine drapery behind. many of the prints are dedicated to the author and poet, Sir Walter Scott.
