This object is part of Schaaf no. 632

Copy of lithograph after Anthony van Dyck, "Portrait of Cornelis van der Geest"

The original oil painting of the successful Antwerp merchant, Cornelis van der Geest (1555 - 1638) is by Anthony van Dyck (1599 - 1641). It dates from about 1620 and is now held by The National Gallery. Intriguingly, van der Geest's portrait features in the Reading Panorama where it is shown set up in front of a camera, ready to have its picture taken. This photograph may be the result of that photographic session.
