Opposite the Angel Inn, Oxford

Location: Oxford

The Angel Inn was a well-known hotel and a coaching inn located on the Oxford High street. The inn closed in 1865 and in 1876 most of it was demolished to make way for the University Examination schools. Today, no. 83 and 84. High street, which formed the hotel coffee rooms are all that remain of the inn. The view on this photograph is thus towards the North side of High street.
