This object is part of Schaaf no. 1446

North aisle of the Louvre

Location: Paris

This photograph of the North aisle of the Louvre was taken from the Nantes hotel where Talbot stayed and is very similar to Schaaf no. 1930 discussed in a blog post by Édouard de Saint-Ours. The view was taken at a time when the Louvre was being joined with Tuileries explaining the inscription that goes with one of the prints. The Tuileries is in fact to the right of this particular view and can be seen in a panoramic view shown in the blog.
