Table set for tea, with an oil lamp and candles

Keywords: Ceramics Silverware

A table is set with tablecloth, cups, ceramics and glassware as well as an oil lamp in the middle of the table and two candlesticks with candles.

The negative for this image may be experimental in that it has been pierced in strategic places that correspond to highlights on the highly reflective surfaces of the silverware and, to a lesser extent, on the ceramic items laid out on the table. Are the pin holes supposed to allow light to pass directly through the negative during printing? If a copy negative were to be made from the resulting print the new negative would have intense or brighter highlights.
