The three sculptures are photographed in the Loggia dei Lanzi, in Florence.

The main subject is "The Rape of the Sabine Woman" by Giambologna which occupies the largest part of the composition. Just behind and to the left is "Hercules and the Centaur Nessus", also by Giambologna. Just visible in the distance is a partial view of an ancient Roman portrait statue of Agrippina Minor.
