'Twenty untrimmed prints, mostly from the untrimmed negative, showing borders and inscription (except for /10, /12 and /13 which were printed after the neagtive was trimmed). Overall tone ranges from light brown to dark brown. Some prints have areas of patchy tone, or yellowed paper. Proofs /11 and /18 have a blurred image and have been torn. Pins fixing the etching to a board for photography are visible in several cases, including /18, where five pins can be seen, one in the middle of the inscription.'
