Alternate titles

"The Annals of the Artists of Spain", plate 9

From an etching by Louis Meunier, c. 1630, after an original by Juan Bautista de Toledo and Juan de Herrera.

'Twenty untrimmed prints, mostly from the untrimmed negative, showing borders and inscription (except for /10, /12 and /13 which were printed after the neagtive was trimmed). Overall tone ranges from light brown to dark brown. Some prints have areas of patchy tone, or yellowed paper. Proofs /11 and /18 have a blurred image and have been torn. Pins fixing the etching to a board for photography are visible in several cases, including /18, where five pins can be seen, one in the middle of the inscription.'
